The attack on ministerial housing is one of many
| | Many pastors now know about the attack on the ministerial housing allowance, which is in jeopardy because an anti-religion activist group has challenged it in court. A federal judge recently ruled against the allowance, and it will soon be heard by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. But this case is not the only example of churches facing legal challenges. | Churches are being challenged across the United States | Maryland isn't the first place many think of when it comes to religious freedom attacks. Nonetheless, one church there has found itself pushed to the outskirts of its town through outright discrimination. Redemption Community Church purchased its building in 2015, and it looked like the perfect outreach opportunity. In this building, the church planned to not only hold services on the weekends but also interact with the community through a coffee shop it started. The city had different plans. Instead of abiding by federal law, the city changed its zoning laws and threatened the church with daily fines for worshipping in its own building. We're stepping in on behalf of this small church, as a Church Alliance member. | | Every church should know how we can help. | Cases like these are why we prepare and protect churches like yours with focused legal help.
