Navigating the difference between knowing God and knowing ourselves

Knowing God, knowing the self, and navigating the difference or overcoming the gap by God's grace to accomplish his purposes through his power is the foundation of all Christian ministry. These were the simple and straightforward objectives of Jesus's earthly ministry. They have not changed. Jesus put humanity into a position where we can make contact with God and allow his power to flow through us to accomplish abundantly more than any could hope or imagine (Eph. 3:20). God is the source of absolute sufficiency. Only when these fundamental concepts are mastered by ministers and then communicated and manifested throughout our congregations can the leaders and professionals in the other fields begin to step into their respective arenas of expertise fully empowered to successfully navigate their vocations in concert with the ethos, ethics, and power of the kingdom of God.
