 | | | Samaritan's Purse Teams Already at Work in Eastern North Carolina | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Samaritan's Purse staff and disaster relief units rolled out to coastal North Carolina on Saturday, even as Florence continued to pour torrential rains onto already devastated communities. In the hard-hit town of New Bern, North Carolina, our staff and volunteers have begun work cleaning and repairing damaged homes. We're also in Jacksonville and headed to Wilmington where teams will soon begin clearing debris and mudding out flooded houses in Jesus' Name. We praise God for each person that has already signed up to help us with this response. Many homeowners along the North Carolina coast are facing devastating losses, and they need our help. Most importantly, they need to know that God loves them and hasn't forgotten them. | | | | | | | | Would you consider serving on one of our volunteer teams? Let's get to work to rebuild what was broken! Every time I go out to a wrecked home where our volunteers are helping begin the recovery process, I am privileged to see God's love shared and human dignity affirmed, often through tears, smiles, and sweaty hugs among hardworking people from all over the country. Your prayer and gifts are also critical to this ministry. Thank you and may God bless you. | | | | Sincerely, | | | Franklin Graham President, Samaritan's Purse | | | | God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
