In the middle of the pain, it feels impossible. Offensive even.

Forgiveness is for us. It's God's inscrutable gift — and command — because He knows that we need to be unburdened from the millstone of hatred and suffering of bitterness. He knows we don't want to damage our future relationships or pass painful traits on to our loved ones. God wants our hearts to be healed even when we don't feel ready for it!
