“When you look in the eyes of the Ukrainian people, you see hopelessness and pain. Each day, people are more traumatized,” reports one of our ministry partners running a relief center in Ukraine.
I know you’ve been watching the news and have seen the suffering of Ukrainians during this senseless war. And in the midst of the struggle for food, water, heat, and other physical necessities, our Ukrainian partners are telling us there’s another critical need.
“When you see people who are crying, ‘Thank you for the Bible! Thank you for bringing me out of the bombs!’ that’s when you know you are in the place where God wants you to be, doing what He wants. We had 3,000 Bibles. We need so many more.”
In God’s timing, our new Contemporary Ukrainian New Testament was ready to launch the very day the invasion began. We’ve gone all out since then to let the Ukrainian people know that God’s Word is available for free download in their own language and to send printed Bibles. More than 350,000 people have gratefully downloaded the New Testament, with 97% of those being in the country.
It’s costing about $1,000 a day to spread the word about the Bibles and support free downloads. Your gift of any amount today would help more Ukrainians find hope. Even $5 would help a lot. Will you stand with Ukraine now?
