10 Million Meals to feed America's families in crisis

I hope this email finds you and your loved ones well today.

The new coronavirus pandemic has turned all our lives upside-down. Here at Convoy of Hope, we’re praying for God’s peace and hope in this time.

And while each of us adjusts to changes and challenges, I want you to know that Convoy of Hope continues to do as much as we can to help families in need now.

For more than 25 years, Convoy of Hope has been feeding the hungry, empowering families in the wake of disaster, and restoring dignity and offering God’s love to those who are searching for hope. We are FEMA-approved, with a certified 4-star Charity Navigator rating, and members of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA).

Today, in big cities and small towns across the United States, millions are desperate and in need of aid in the middle of this pandemic

  • More than 17 million Americans are now unemployed nationwide — and that number is growing.
  • The poor in urban and underserved communities and the working poor are the hardest hit by the current economic downturn.
  • Brave, single mothers are struggling to feed their hungry children.
  • Many adults are now unable to provide the basics their families need.

Our fleet of relief trucks is currently crisscrossing the nation, delivering food and emergency supplies to places like New York City, New Orleans, Chicago, and Seattle — the areas most impacted by the coronavirus crisis so far —

And this good work is happening because of friends like you! Our ministry family has responded generously in recent weeks — and I am grateful. As I write, we have already delivered 5 million meals to people in need.

But this crisis is so much bigger than anything we’ve faced before. We’ve received hundreds of requests for help from locations in more than 40 states.

So our 10 Million Meals initiative is so timely! With the help of new friends like you, we want to provide at least 10 million meals and other relief supplies for hungry children and families.

I humbly but boldly ask on behalf of those who are struggling. Every $30 can help provide immediate food and supplies for one family. Perhaps you can give $30, $60, or $90, maybe even $300 or much more — but whatever you can give, I believe you’ll help as much as you can.

I know everyone has been impacted by the pandemic and its resulting financial pressures. But please respond as you are able with a gift today. Anything you give will help us deliver more meals to hungry children.

Thank you for helping us share the love and hope of Christ when America needs it most. Your partnership will mean the world to families across our nation.

Sincerely,

Hal Donaldson
President, Convoy of Hope
