If ever there was a place with the wrong name, Happyland is it.
The vast, garbage-strewn slum in the Philippines is home to 5-year-old Cindy. Her parents are always away trying to find work to feed the family, so Cindy spends her days raising her 2-year-old brother, Kenneth, and her baby sister, Queenie.
Sometimes, despite her parents’ best efforts, Cindy has had to put her siblings (and herself) to bed hungry.
But one of Biblica’s partner ministries is hard at work in Happyland feeding children like Cindy and her siblings. And thanks to our caring supporters, Cindy’s soul is being nourished too!
Through the bright, activity-filled pages of Biblica’s Bible Adventures magazine, Cindy is able to experience some of the joys of childhood—and learn what it means to be a child of God.
This Christmas season, will you help give Bible Adventures and other Biblica resources designed for children to 1,000,001 boys and girls like Cindy?
