Living in Truth Requires Attention to MoralityIt is our lack of attention to and concern about morality and ethics that have cost us incalculable amounts of time, treasure, talent, and lives. Therefore, we can and must refocus our minds and hearts back onto the "good" aspect of the good news. We must realize that what is good is also what is moral. Many philosophical inquiries into morality and ethics over the millennia have tried to understand, define, and implement what God revealed in the Torah and Jesus came to display: namely, the news of the availability of goodness. We can understand, define, and live moral lives. We can pursue and live in the truth. We can reform our wills and societies in ways that allow us to feast on the fruits of love provided in communion with God's Spirit, but we must first be willing to at least give a moment's attention to these subjects. Our task here is to simply put the spotlight on these subjects in an effort to rekindle the necessary good thinking and discussion on the subjects of goodness, righteousness, and their attendant virtues.
