Li’s story doesn’t end there. She shared the Bible with her husband who finally accepted Jesus as His Savior after years of denying Him.
Now a widow, Li devotes her life to her village church and teaches others to read by using – you guessed it – Bibles that friends like you helped provide…
“With the new Bibles given to us, I can hold a class in our village church to teach others how to read the Bible. Not only that, but by growing crops in my garden, I can share [food] with [my] neighbors. Then they also listen to me as I read to them the truth of God’s Word. I have two Bible ministries. One in the church and one outside. Many are coming to faith because of your gifts.”
To Li, the Bible is a source of transformation for her and her family, neighbors, and friends. She lives out the words Paul wrote in Romans 1:16 NIV,
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”
