Good morning,
My name is Jody, and I work on the Bible Gateway team. Today, I thought I'd share with you one of the ways I study the Bible. Like most of you, I only have a little spare time to read my Bible every morning. So, to make it easier, I start with a single verse. I receive the Verse of the Day each morning, delivered by Bible Gateway to my inbox. Often, I read it before I even get out of bed. In case you missed it, today's reading was Philippians 2:3-4:
|
3Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility consider one another as more important than yourselves; 4 do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. (NASB) |

I frequently use the resources on Bible Gateway to see what can be gleaned from a verse. One of my favorite authors is Charles Stanley. Today, in the NASB Charles F. Stanley Life Principles Bible, his timely insight reminded me why I work here. It reads: "your purpose is to represent Christ to the lost so that they can be saved." With that blessing and reminder, I am rejuvenated and have renewed clarity on why subscribing to Bible Gateway Plus is so valuable. |
